The unfortunate truth about financial literacy…

Sadly, common money concepts are not taught or expected to be known in our society. This is illustrated by the severe lack of this education in our schools.
Only 29 states have adopted financial literacy standards, but of those only 11 require students to have a financial literacy course of some sort in order to graduate. The younger generation is being dealt a gross disservice and is expected to enter adulthood in debt (student loans, credit cards, etc.)
